NOTICE: The licensing administration of driving services has been transferred to the City of Peterborough. Accordingly, all Board By-laws related to taxis, limousines and ride-shares have been repealed effective September 10, 2024.
Contracted Towing Firms:
Police-facilitated towing services are provided by towing firms who are contracted by the Police Service Board through an RFP process. Contracted towing firms are required to undergo annual license renewals and comprehensive checks, and also comply with the provisions of the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act, 2021. Current contracts expire December 31, 2024.
