- Forensics
- Victim Services
Some investigations require a specific skill set or a lengthy time commitment that makes completion on the front line in the Operations Division unfeasible. Those investigations are assigned to detectives with special training in the Investigative Services Division. Forensics and Victim Services are also a part of this team.
A Staff Sergeant is designated as the Service’s Major Case Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Division, along with the management of Major Cases, Sexual Offender Registry, ViCLAS and PowerCase submissions.
The Divisional Commander is an Inspector who provides administrative support and is responsible for budget allocation and who oversees the Division and all activities that are performed therein. The Divisional Commander provides detailed reports to other members of the Executive, Police Service Board members and various government agencies.
