Obtaining a Motor Vehicle Collision Report
Motor Vehicle Collision Reports will only be released to individuals involved in the motor vehicle collision, a vehicle owner or property owner.
If you require only the driver, vehicle and insurance information, this can be obtained free of charge. Individuals requiring a full copy or insurance companies and law firms must send in a written request, along with an original signed authorization and a fee of $56.50 (taxes included) payable to Peterborough Police Service.
Officer note(s) and/or statement(s) can also be obtained at a cost of $22.60 for each statement requested. Reconstructions reports may also be available.
In order to determine the cost, please send an email to ppsmvc@peterborough.ca and include sufficient information to allow us to identify the accident report in question, i.e. date, address or location, incident number, name of person(s) involved and a telephone number during business hours where a representative can be reached.
Please note that personal information regarding passengers, witnesses and injuries will be blacked out.
