Impaired Arrest
A 27-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a collision Thursday evening.
At approximately 10:20pm on May 16, 2024, officers were called to a single vehicle collision in the area of Highland and Fairbairn Street. Upon arrival, officers noticed front end damage to the vehicle and while speaking to the driver noticed signs of impairment.
As a result, a 27-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court June 11, 2024.
Fail to Remain Collision - Update
A 37-year-old Peterborough man is facing Highway Traffic Act charges after a fail to remain collision in Peterborough Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the Jeep turned themselves in to police Thursday afternoon (May 16, 2024) and was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Driving while suspended
- Fail to Remain
- Careless Driving
The driver was given a court date of July 18, 2024.
