Fail to Remain Collision; Vehicle Sought - Update
A 37-year-old Peterborough man is facing Highway Traffic Act charges after a fail to remain collision in Peterborough Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the Jeep turned themselves in to police Thursday afternoon (May 16, 2024) and was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Driving while suspended
- Fail to Remain
- Careless Driving
The driver was given a court date of July 18, 2024.

The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a fail to remain collision in Peterborough Wednesday afternoon.
The collision happened about 4:15pm at the intersection of Lansdowne Street and High Street. Two vehicles collided and as a result one vehicle struck a business. No one was seriously injured; but the building was damaged. One of the vehicles, a black Jeep, fled the scene and was last spotted going southbound on High Street. It’s expected the front of the Jeep will have front end damage. (Picture for assistance)
