Motor Vehicle Collision – Rubidge Street
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a vehicle collided with a house in Peterborough Monday morning.
At approximately 10:15am on June 24, 2024, officers were called to the area of Rubidge Street and Murray Street about a two-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers learned that one car had made an unsafe lane change, struck another vehicle which then hit the side of a house. One driver was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) with minor injuries. The other driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with unsafe move, lane or shoulder.
Theft Arrest
A 48-year-old Peterborough woman is facing a charge after a report from her employer about missing money.
On June 21, 2024, officers with the Peterborough Police Service Fraud Unit received a report from the employer stating that through investigation they learned over $40,000 was never accounted for in 2024.
On June 25, 2024, the Fraud Unit conducted a search warrant at the suspect’s residence and took her into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Theft Over $5,000
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court August 6, 2024.
