MVC – Clonsilla Avenue
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a fatal collision in Peterborough early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 3:50am on July 5, 2023, officers were called to the area of Clonsilla Avenue and Ford Street about a single motorcycle collision. The 27-year-old male driver was thrown from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries.
The Traffic Reconstruction Unit is investigating. The road was reopened about 9:15am Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

MVC – The Parkway - Update
A 58-year-old Blackstock man injured in a motorcycle collision early Tuesday morning has succumbed to his injuries.

The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a single vehicle collision on The Parkway earlier Tuesday morning.
Just before 4:00am on July 4, 2023, officers were called to The Parkway between Lansdowne Street and The Kingsway about a motorcycle collision. The driver was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre before being airlifted to a trauma hospital.
The Traffic Reconstruction Unit is investigating. The roadway was reopened just before 10:00am on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
Heat Warning
A heat warning is in effect for Peterborough today with Environment Canada calling for temperatures into 30’s with the humidex in the upper 30’s to 40’s through Wednesday and Thursday.
A reminder to check on the most vulnerable to heat and to not leave pets and/or children unattended in vehicles.
How you can help:
- Call 9-1-1 if the child or animal is in distress
- Take down the car’s make, model and license plate number and provide that information to the Peterborough Police Service when you call.
- If there is a business nearby, ask a manager or store security to make an announcement to locate the car’s owner.
- Wait by the vehicle until help arrives.
