Assault Arrest

A 36-year-old Peterborough man, is facing charges after an incident Tuesday night.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, officers were made aware of an assault that occurred between two family members. The female victim reported a physical altercation that led her to falling to the floor. Subsequently, the male grabbed her phone and deliberately damaged it, rendering it unusable.

Asa result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

• Assault
• Mischief Under $ 5,000
•  Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, January 24, 2024.
