Warrant Arrests
A 32-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on several warrants Wednesday morning.
At approximately 9:20 am on February 15, 2023, officers were called about an unwanted person at a residence. Upon arrival, officers noticed a man and a woman in conversation in front of the residence. As officers approached, the male fled from police on foot, officers pursued on foot for several blocks before they lost sight of him due to vehicle traffic in the area of Brock Street and Rubidge. A short time later the male was located in the Murray Street and Rubidge Street area and taken into custody. It was further determined that the male was wanted on three warrants and is currently bound by a release order not to communicate with the female with whom he was seen speaking.
As a result, a 32-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of the warrants and further charged with:
- Fail to comply with a release order
The male accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, February 15, 2023.
During the investigation it was learned that the woman was also wanted on a warrant.
As a result, a 30-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant and further charged with:
- Fail to comply with undertaking
The female accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court March 7, 2023.
