Break and Enter Arrest
A 41-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after a break and enter Tuesday morning.
At approximately 10:20am on April 23, 2024, officers were called to a residence in the Aylmer Street and McDonnel Street area about a break and enter. Upon arrival officers learned that the unit had been entered and clothing, credit cards and electronic items were taken. As officers canvassed the area, they received a call that a suitcase matching the description of one taken in the incident had been located several blocks away and that two people were seen going through it. It was further learned that a credit card in one of the victim’s names had been attempted to be used at a nearby store. A short time later officers located a woman matching the description given to police as attempting to use the credit card and took her into custody. The investigation is ongoing into a possible second suspect.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
- Use of Credit Card
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any identification, card with a data strip or security chip, credit or debit card unless lawfully issued in your name.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court May 14, 2024.
Mischief Suspect Sought
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after an incident at a Peterborough gas bar.
At approximately 3:00 am on April 24, 2024, officers were called about the front door of a gas bar in the Lansdowne Street West and Rye Street area being smashed. Upon arrival, officers found the door glass smashed but overall the door was still secure. Officers searched the area for two people matching the following description (Images below):
- Two males
- Possibly in the 20s
- Wearing toques and wearing reddish grey jeans

Theft Suspects Sought
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after an incident at a grocery store early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 5:00am on April 23, 2024, officers were called to the store in the Sherbrooke Street and Medical Drive area after an alarm alert. Upon arrival, officers learned that an outdoor freezer had been accessed and about a dozen boxes of produce were loaded into a vehicle before the suspects left the area.

- Thin build
- Blue jacket
- Dark hair and light beard
Suspect #2 is described as:
- Approximately 30
- 6ft
- Black jacket
Vehicle is described as:
- White
- Chevy Malibu
