Break and Enter Reports - Arrest Update
A 24-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges in connection with a break and enter early Monday morning.
Just before 3:00am on November 27, 2023, officers were called to a break and enter to an apartment in the Goodfellow Road and Sherbrooke Street area. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had entered the apartment between 1:00am and 2:00am and left with several items including a television and a computer.
At approximately 10:30am on November 27, 2023, an officer on patrol in the Charlotte Street and Aylmer Street area spotted a male at the back of a building with a television matching the description of the one taken in the break and enter. The officer took the male into custody and further discovered identification cards in the name of the victims as well as the other property reported stolen.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court yesterday, November 27, 2023.

Break and Enter
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a local business reported a break and enter Monday morning.
At approximately 11:30 am on Monday, November 27, 2023, officers were called to the business in the Water Street and Hunter Street area. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had entered the store about 2:30am and left with two Ipads. The following description was given to police:
- Male
- 20s-40s
- Short/slim build
- Puffy jacket
- Scarf on face
