Assault Arrest
A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a domestic incident Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 4:10pm on November 26, 2023, police received calls about an assault at a residence in the Hunter Street and Armour Road area. The male fled the area when a neighbour came to help the victim. The victim was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
It was then learned the male was going to the top of the Liftlock. Officers closed the road and through negotiation were able to convince the man to move to a place of safety, at which time, he was taken into custody. He was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for assessment and released back to police custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 27, 2023.
