Training
Peterborough Police officers and members of Peterborough Fire Services are conducting training in water scenarios throughout the rest of the week (July 11, 2023 – July 14, 2023).
Activity will be mostly in the morning on Little Lake near the T-Wharf.
Thanks to the public for their patience as the training is underway.
MVC Water Street
Water Street between Carnegie Avenue and Marina Boulevard was closed for several hours overnight after a single vehicle collision.
At approximately 1:30am on July 11, 2023, officers were called about a single vehicle into a pole after it swerved to avoid an animal. The collision caused the pole to break and brought down wires. The road was closed while repairs were made.
The driver of the vehicle was not seriously injured. No charges are expected. Traffic is now able to get through.
