Assault Arrest
A 27-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a domestic incident early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 2:30am on February 7, 2023, officers were called to a residence by a concerned citizen who heard a loud argument. Upon arrival, officers learned that a verbal argument between a man and a woman had escalated, and the female victim was verbally threatened. During the incident a bar stool was thrown at the victim striking her on the arm. The home was also damaged.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm
- Assault with A Weapon
- Mischief under $5000
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, February 7, 2023.
Assault Arrest
A 22-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after an incident Monday evening.
At approximately 9:30pm on February 6, 2023, officers were called to a residence about an altercation between two women. Upon arrival, officers learned that during an argument the victim had been spat on.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 23, 2023.
