Police Training Exercise - UPDATE

UPDATE: The training exercise is complete.  Thank you to the community for their patience.

Please be aware that there will be a heavier Peterborough Police presence in the east-end of Peterborough today (Thursday, November 23, 2023).

Emergency services personnel including the Emergency Response Team will be in the area of Armour Road and McFarlane Street for a training exercise throughout the afternoon.

Police training signs will be placed as a perimeter, loud noises may be heard, and neighbours may see officers with weapons drawn.

Public notification will be made at the completion of the exercise.

Crime Stoppers is a civilian, non profit, charitable organization that brings together the community, the police and the media in the fight against crime.

Crime Stoppers provides citizens with a vehicle to anonymously supply the police with information about a crime or potential crime of which they have knowledge. Cash rewards are offered to people who call the program and their information leads to an arrest.
