Impaired Arrest
A 35-year-old Ennismore man is facing impaired charges after a single vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:30pm on November 21, 2023, officers were made aware of a downed light pole in the area of Sir Sanford Fleming Drive and Brealey Drive and that it appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. Officers received further information about the crash and were on scene investigating when the suspect driver returned. During their conversation, the officer noticed signs of impairment with driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Ennismore man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Unsafe move - lane or shoulder (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impound.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 12, 2023.
