Assault Arrest
A 25-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 2:30a.m. on June 1, 2022, officers were called to the area of Brock Street and George Street North for a disturb the peace call. Upon arrival officers learned there had been an altercation between three men who were known to each other. Two men were stabbed several times before the suspect fled the area. One man was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with serious injuries and the other had minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Peterborough man matching the description given to police was arrested several hours later and charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Breach Probation
The accused appeared in court yesterday June 1, 2022.
