Break and Enter Incidents
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after two incidents over the weekend.
The first happened in the area of Auburn and Dunlop Street at approximately 3:30am on Sunday, March 10, 2024. The resident reported they had woken up and found both the back and the front door open. They noticed some items in the home had been moved and the only thing taken was an old pair of sneakers. No one was injured.
The second incident happened at about 3:20am on Monday, March 11, 2024 in the Armour Road and McFarlane Street area. In this case the resident woke up to find a strange man in her room saying he needed to deliver a pizza. The man was told he had the wrong house, escorted out of the residence and was last seen heading north on Armour Road. No one was injured.
The man in the second incident was described to police as:
- 6 ft
- White
- Approx. 35yrs old
- Light brown hair
- Wearing blue jeans, light blue button up shirt, greenish dress shoes and a black jacket.
At this point, it’s not clear if the two incidents are related.
