Warrant Arrest

At approximately 5:45pm on Thursday May 30, 2024, an on-duty officer observed a male on foot who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The officer advised the male to stop, and the male took running. The wanted male was pursued on foot by the officer and was shortly thereafter caught and taken into custody.

 As a result, a 54-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and is facing the following charges:

•  Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2
• Fraudulent Use of Credit Card x6
• Theft Under $5000 x2
• Breach of Probation x2
• Fail to Comply with Undertaking

 The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, May 31, 2024.

 Medical Assistance

At approximately 2:00pm on Thursday May 30, 2024, an on-duty officer observed a male in medical distress in the area of George Street and Brock Street. The officer, recognizing this as an overdose, administered several doses of Naloxone and began CPR. The male in distress was successful in revived and was turned over to EMS for further medical care.

Community Open House - Reminder

Tomorrow, June 1, 2024, the Peterborough Police Service will be hosting its 2^nd Community Open House.  The event will take place at the police station at 500 Water Street from 10:00 am – 1:00pm.
