Break and Enter Arrest
A 39-year-old Fenelon Falls man is facing charges after an incident early Thursday morning.
At approximately 3:30am on May 12, 2022, officers were called to a break and enter in progress at a residence in the Aylmer Street and Westcott Street area. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the basement where an unwanted male was located and taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Fenelon Falls man was arrested and charged with:
- Theft Under $5000
- Break, Enter Dwelling House - Commit Indictable Offence
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on May 12, 2022.
Mischief Arrest
A 36-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Thursday evening.
At approximately 11:15 pm on May 12, 2022, officers were called to a restaurant in the Chemong Road and Wolsely Street area after a male who was asked to leave the establishment became verbally aggressive and banging on the doors. Upon arrival, officers saw that a window had been broken and determined the male had fled the area. They searched the area and located a man matching the description given to police several blocks away.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 1, 2022.
