Aggravated Assault Arrest
A 15-year-old Peterborough female is facing a charge after an incident over the lunch hour yesterday.
At approximately 12:00pm on March 7, 2024, officers were called to the parking lot of St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church in the area of Hilliard Street and St.Pauls Street in Peterborough on reports of a disturbance involving a large group of young people.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a 15-year-old male had been stabbed. He was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old Peterborough female was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court March 25, 2024.

Impaired Arrest
A 57-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident Thursday evening.
At approximately 5:50pm on March 7, 2024, officers were called to a business in the Lansdowne Street and Willowcreek Boulevard after it was reported there had been a collision in the drive thru and that the driver had fled the area. Officers located the vehicle at a residence and spoke to the driver during which time the officers noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 57-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code x2
- Drive while under suspension x4 (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and a 45-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court April 2, 2024.
