Assault Arrest
A 40-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after a domestic incident Thursday night.
At approximately 11:20pm on June 6, 2024, officers were called to a residence about a disturbance. Upon arrival, they learned that the suspect had left the area but that before doing so had choked, pushed, and verbally threatened a woman and then shoved, kicked, and verbally threatened a male member of the family who tried to intervene. The suspect returned to the residence a short time later and was taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
- Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm-Spousal
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm - Choke – Spousal
- Assault
- Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, June 7, 2024.
