Sexual Assault Arrest
A 58-year-old Peterborough man is facing a number of sexual assault charges.
Earlier this year, officers with the Sex Crimes Unit were made aware of a series of ongoing sexual assaults between the victim and a family member.
As a result of the investigation, a 58-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Sexual Interference
- Invitation to Sexual Touching
- Sexual Exploitation
- Sexual Assault
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16, 2022.
In order to protect the identity of the victim in this case, the name of the accused will not be released.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a stolen vehicle recovered.
At approximately 4:00am on June 3, 2022, officers were called to the area of Clonsilla Avenue and Lansdown Street West about an abandoned vehicle blocking a lane. Upon arrival, officers learned the vehicle had been reported stolen on Tuesday evening. A male matching the description given to police in that incident was located in a nearby parking lot and taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with theft of motor vehicle.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 29, 2022.
