Weapons Offences Arrest
A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:00pm on January 11, 2023, officers were called to the area of London Street and Aylmer Street about a man with a weapon. Upon arrival officers learned that a man had exited a home with a weapon and started yelling at a woman on the street. Through investigation, officers located the suspect and took him into custody.
A pellet gun was turned into police in connection with the incident.
As a result, a 26-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Pointing a Firearm
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court January 25, 2023
