Luring Arrest
A 32-year-old Peterborough man is facing six charges after an investigation.
On Thursday, May 16, 2024, officers from the Peterborough Police Services Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at a Peterborough residence.
As a result of the two month investigation, a 32-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Luring a Person Under 16 Years of Age by Means of Telecommunication x4
- Fail to Comply with Prohibition Regarding Children x2
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court today, May 17, 2024.
The Peterborough Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the internet.
