Assault Arrest
A 41-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a neighbour dispute.
At approximately 7:00pm on September 26, 2023, officers were called to a residence in Peterborough. Upon arrival, officers learned there had been a dispute between two neighbours over property and one had punched the other several times.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, September 27, 2023.
Fraud
The Peterborough Police Service continues to receive information about frauds and scams in the community.
Officers are investigating after a business owner reported suspicious credit card purchases being made for about $4000 worth of product.
In another case, a resident was scammed out over $9000 when they were informed their computer had been compromised. The resident was asked to send money in bitcoin to fix the problem.
