School Crossing and Bus Safety Reminder
Peterborough Police Traffic Services would like to remind the public to be mindful of school-age students and crosswalks with the warmer weather.
Recently incidents have been reported by school crossing guards and school bus drivers where motorists have not stopped for their stop signs or flashing lights. It should be noted offences related to school buses and crossing guards are investigated fully and registered owners are liable for any charges under the Highway Traffic Act regardless of if they are operating the vehicle at the time of the offence.
Stay safe and enjoy the sun!

Operation Freeze
Peterborough Police is proud to once again participating in “Operation Freeze”.
The Service is partnering with Circle K stores to build positive relationships between police officers and youths in their communities. Peterborough Police will be presenting youth with coupons or “tickets” when they see youth making smart, safe and caring choices such as wearing helmets, helping others, or picking up garbage.
Each "ticket" is for a free small Froster from Circle K.
