Assault Arrest
A 51-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after an incident Wednesday evening.
On July 25, 2023, officers were made aware of a domestic incident on Dublin Street. The victim had been physically assaulted and required medical treatment at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
As a result of the investigation, a 51-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court for a bail hearing today, July 26th.
Warrant Arrest
A 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on a warrant late Tuesday night.
At approximately 10:58pm on July 25, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of Bethune Street and Townsend Street, regarding an assault.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of a warrant and charged with:
- Failure to attend court
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 26, 2023.
Assault Arrest
A 41-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday evening.
On July 25, 2023, officers responded to an assault on Brock Street in the area of George Street. Upon arrival officers learned that a resident in the area was upset with the level of noise coming from a group situated in a nearby parking lot. The victim was assaulted, requiring medical attention and further assessment at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 26, 2023.
Assault with a Weapon Arrest
A 34-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday evening.
On 25Jul23 at approximately 6:30pm, a female attempted to stop a male from shoplifting at a local business on Lansdowne Street West. The male struck the female in the face while wearing brass knuckles, which resulted in further shoppers intervening.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with A Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court August 15, 2023.
