Break & Enter Arrest
A 43-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a break and enter Tuesday morning.
On August 13, 2024, officers were called to a business in the King Street and George Street area about a break and enter. It’s believed the incident happened about 3:00am. Two interior office windows were damaged, and some small change had been taken. Through investigation a suspect was identified. A short time later, officers on patrol in the Aylmer Street and Simcoe Street area spotted a suspect matching the description given to police and took him into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
- Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
The accused is currently bound by two probation orders with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to remain in or on the property of your residence between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court August 13, 2024.
Break & Enter/Theft Suspect Sought
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a break and enter to a residence.
On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, officers were notified about a break and enter and theft at a residence in the Wildlark Avenue and Glenforest Boulevard area. It’s believed the incident happened between August 2nd and August 6th, 2024. The homeowners reported that $40,000 -$50,000 worth of jewellery was taken from a safe.
