Assault Arrest
A 41-year-old Township of Cavan-Monaghan man is facing an assault charge after an incident Monday evening.
At approximately 9:00pm on January 30, 2023, officers responded to a call for service at a residence in Cavan-Monaghan. Upon arrival, officers learned that that a verbal argument escalated, and a female had been shoved by her partner and was concerned for her safety. Officers located the male at a neighbouring residence and took him into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old Township of Cavan-Monaghan was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, January 31, 2023.
