Assault and Mischief

A 29-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after an incident Monday afternoon.

At approximately 1:11pm on January 22, 2024, officers responded to a call in the area of Hunter Street and Aylmer Street regarding a dispute over parking between a security officer and an unknown male. The male became agitated and began to strike numerous windows of a nearby property with a pipe. The male left the area in a vehicle and was involved in another altercation with two individuals. After a brief foot pursuit with police officers the male was arrested.

As a result of the investigation a 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

• 266 Assault
• Mischief Under $ 5,000
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, January 23, 2024.
