Please be aware that there will be a heavier Peterborough Police presence in Peterborough today (Thursday, June 20, 2024).
Emergency services personnel including the Emergency Response Team will be in the area of Townsend Street and Aylmer Street for a training exercise throughout the morning.
Police training signs will be placed as a perimeter, loud noises may be heard, and neighbours may see officers with weapons drawn.
Public notification will be made at the completion of the exercise.
