Impaired Arrest
A 33-year-old Brampton man is facing charges after a single vehicle collision Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:30pm on September 11, 2024, officers were called to a single vehicle rollover in the area of County Road 10 and Sharpe Line. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle approached officers and during conversation officers noticed signs of impairment. During the investigation it was learned that the driver had a suspended license. The driver was assessed by EMS at the scene before being taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old Brampton man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court October 22, 2024.
Residential Break and Enter Suspect Sought
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating the report of a missing firearm after a residential break-in Wednesday evening.
It's believed the break and enter happened sometime between 10:00am and 8:00pm on September 11, 2024 at a home in Homeward Avenue and Albertus Avenue area.
The firearm is described as:
- Tavor X95 assault rifle (Stock photo for assistance below)
- 200 rounds of ammunition
Also taken was:
- approximately $20,000 in jewellery
- approximately $1500 in tools

Break and Enter Incidents
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after three businesses reported break and enter incidents early Thursday morning.
At approximately 2:00am on September 12, 2024, officers were called to a business on Erskine Avenue after a call about the front door being smashed.
At approximately 2:30am on September 12, 2024, officers were called to a business on Clonsilla Avenue. Upon arrival, they learned that a side door had been smashed.
At approximately 4:00am on September 12, 2024, officers were called about a smashed front door at a business in the Lansdowne Street and High Street area.
It's not known if any items were taken.
