Warrant Arrest
A 41-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants was arrested after a traffic stop Wednesday night.
At approximately 10:40pm on March 12, 2025, an officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of McDonnel Street and Stewart Street. Upon speaking with the driver of the vehicle, the officer noticed the passenger attempting to avoid police. Through investigation it was determined the passenger was wanted on warrants for possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to attend court.
As a result, a 41-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of the warrants.
He is being held in custody and will appear in court today, March 13, 2025.
Warrant Arrest
A 42-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on warrants after a traffic stop early Thursday morning.
At approximately 1:50am on March 13, 2025, an officer on general patrol in the Chamberlain Street and Brewer Street area spotted a woman on a bicycle with no lights. The officer conducted a traffic stop and in speaking with the cyclist learned that she was wanted on five warrants for failing to comply with an appearance notice, fail to comply with probation order X6, use of credit card X2, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
As a result, a 42-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrants.
She is being held in custody and will appear in court today, March 13, 2025.
