Assault Arrest
A 45-year-old Peterborough man is facing an assault charge after an incident Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:15pm on February 1, 2023, officers were called to the area of Water Street and Brock Street. A man had been standing in a line when another man approached him, punched him in the face and fled the area. A short time later, officers were able to locate a man matching the description given to police and take him into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 16, 2023.
Assault Arrest
A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing an assault charge after an incident Wednesday evening.
At approximately 6:00pm on February 1, 2023, officers were called to a residence in Peterborough after reports of an altercation between two tenants. Upon arrival, officers learned one tenant punched another tenant several times in the face.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 21, 2023.
