Assault Arrest
A 33-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges in connection with a domestic incident on Wednesday evening.
At approximately 7:00pm on April 12, 2023, officers were called to a residence by a concerned family member. Upon arrival, officers learned that a man and a woman had been involved in a verbal argument. As the male tried to leave the residence was punched and hit several times.
As a result, a 33-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court May 11, 2023.
Release Order Arrests
Two people are facing charges in connection with breaching release orders.
At approximately 5:00pm on April 12, 2023, officers were called by concerned family members that a female had not been in contact with them for over a week and may be in danger. Officers attended a residence where the female was believed to be staying but were told by a man that the female was not inside. Officers were concerned for her safety and were able to secure a warrant to enter the residence and found the female inside.
As a result of the investigation,
A 33-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
The accused is currently bound by a release order with the following conditions to remain with their surety every night.
A 44-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Breach of Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact and to stay away from the female in this case.
Both accused are being held in custody and will appear in court today, April 13, 2023.
