Mischief Arrest
A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Sunday evening.
At approximately 5:45pm on March 2, 2025, officers were called to a restaurant in the area of Brock Street and George Street about a break and enter in progress. Upon arrival, officers located a man matching the description given to police at the back of the building. He was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief Under $ 5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused is being held in custody and appeared in court today, March 3, 2025.
Traffic Enforcement Initiative
The Peterborough Police Service will be completing a series of focused patrols in a west-end neighbourhood of the City of Peterborough.
For the next several days the focus will be on Lynhaven Road where multiple complaints of cars travelling at high speeds have been reported. Lynhaven Road is located between Denure Drive and Woodglade Boulevard and does not have any sidewalks.
Motorists are reminded to follow the speed limit and to drive with extra caution in our neighbourhoods.
