Threats Arrest
A 28-year-old Township of Cavan-Monaghan man is facing charges after an incident late Friday morning.
At approximately 11:35am on April 21, 2023, officers were called to a business in the Monaghan Road and Lansdowne Street area about a disruptive customer. Upon arrival officers learned that the customer had become unruly and verbally threatened a clerk and several other customers when they were asked to leave. The man was still in the parking lot of the business and was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Township of Cavan-Monaghan man was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently on a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4, 2023.
Robbery Arrest
A 27-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Friday afternoon.
At approximately 4:30pm on April 21, 2023, officers were made aware of an incident in the area Millennium Park in Peterborough. Upon arrival, officers learned that an elderly male had been approached by another male who demanded money and took the man’s fanny pack before being chased off by a bystander.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Peterborough was located the next day and arrested and charged with:
- Robbery with Theft
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court April 22, 2023.
Drug Arrests
A man and a woman from the GTA are facing drug charges after an investigation.
On Friday, April 21, 2023, officers with the drug unit arrested two people in connection with the investigation in the area of George Street North and Rink Street. During the arrest, officers located:
- 8.4grams of cocaine
- 8.2grams of fentanyl
- Cash
- Drug paraphernalia
As a result, a 21-year-old Scarborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
An 18-year-old Vaughan woman was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Assault Arrest
A 16-year-old Peterborough male is facing charges in connection with an incident at Beavermead Park Friday night.
At approximately 10:00pm on April 21, 2023, officers were called to the park about two males being attacked with bear mace and a second male waving a knife at people. Upon arrival, officers located the victims who were taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment. Officers also located a knife in the park.
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, a 16-year-old male attended the Peterborough Police Station and was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon x2
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused was released on a youth undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court May 8, 2023.

Assault Arrest
A 21-year-old Bancroft man is facing charges after an incident early Saturday morning.
At approximately 3:00am on April 22, 2023, officers were called to the area of Park Street and Lake Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that an confrontation happened between a man and a woman on the sidewalk and people in a vehicle. During the incident, the two pedestrians were sprayed with bear mace. The victims were taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
A short time later, officers located a vehicle matching the description given to police at a gas station in the Lansdowne Street West and Monaghan Road area. Two people in the vehicle were taken into custody under gunpoint. One male was released unconditionally.
A 21-year-old Bancroft man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court May 18, 2023.
Impaired Arrest
A 20-year-old Campbellford man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 12:40am on April 23, 2023, officers conducting traffic enforcement on Lansdowne Street noticed a vehicle going faster than the 50km/h speed limit and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, officers noticed obvious signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Campbellford man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Speeding 1 - 49 Km/h over posted limit (Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive motor vehicle in contravention of conditions (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court May 11, 2023.
Impaired Arrest
A 22-year-old Lakehurst man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:00am on April 23, 2023, officers in the area George Street North and Charlotte Street were approached by a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver. Officers located a vehicle matching the description given to police and noticed obvious signs of impairment with the driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Lakehurst man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions to not consume alcohol or other controlled substances except in their own home.
The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court May 11, 2023.
