Assault Arrest
A 27-year-old Peterborough man is facing an assault charge after an intimate partner violence incident.
At approximately 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, officers were called to a residence about a disturbance. It was learned that a verbal disagreement had turned physical and a woman was punched and slapped and that the suspect had left before officers arrived. They searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Officers were called back to the residence at approximately 8:30pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025, upon arrival officers conducted a search of the residence for victim safety and located the suspect hiding in a closet.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, Friday, February 21, 2025.
