Weapons Arrest
Three Oshawa men are facing charges after an incident early Friday morning resulted in officers finding a loaded handgun.
At approximately 1:15am on April 29, 2022, officers were called to a residence in the Brock Street and Aylmer Street area about suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers observed four males exiting the building, matching the descriptions provided to police, and initiated a gun point arrest. One male fled on foot and despite a search of the area was not located while three others were brought into custody without incident.
During the arrest officers located and seized:
- Loaded handgun
- Cocaine – 27.6 grams
- Crystal Meth – 40.8 grams
- Fentanyl – 47.4 grams
- Canadian currency
Police also located and seized a vehicle connected to the suspects.
As a result of the investigation,
A 20-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of Firearm
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs X3
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
A 23-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of Firearm
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs X3
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
A 23-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Use of Firearm
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs X3
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
The accused were held in custody and will appear in court today, Friday, April 29, 2022.
Weapons Arrest
A 53-year-old Peterborough man is facing a weapons charge after an incident Thursday evening.
At approximately 6:30pm on April 28, 2022, officers received several calls about an altercation between two men in the area of George Street North and Simcoe Street. Upon arrival officers learned that the men had gotten into a disagreement, and one chased the other with a small axe. No one was injured and the weapon was seized.
As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old Peterborough was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 18, 2022.
Break and Enter Residential – Romaine Street and Aylmer Street Area
Peterborough Police are investigating after a parked recreational vehicle was broken into sometime overnight Wednesday.
On Thursday, April 28, 2022, officers were made aware that an RV had been entered and various items taken. The RV was in a parking lot in Romaine Street and Aylmer Street area, and it’s believed it was entered sometime Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning.

Break and Enter Residential – Lake Street and Park Street Area
Peterborough Police are investigating after a home under renovation was broken into sometime overnight Wednesday.
Just before 9:00am on April 28, 2022, officers were made aware that the home in the Park Street and Lake Street area was broken into. It’s believed to have happened overnight Wednesday or early Thursday morning and some tools were taken.
