Impaired Arrest
A 68-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 12:15pm on April 27, 2023, officers were called to a construction zone in the area of Wolsely Street and Chemong Road. Upon arrival, they learned that a vehicle had been spotted striking a construction pilon before reversing and stopping in the middle of the road. Officers noticed signs of impairment. The driver was examined by EMS at the scene before being taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
As a result of the investigation, a 68-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - combined blood alcohol and blood drug concentration
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court May 23, 2023.
