Suspicious Package Deemed Safe
A suspicious package that was left on the sidewalk in a Peterborough neighbourhood Wednesday afternoon has been deemed safe and removed from the area.
As part of the investigation, the Durham Regional Police Bomb Squad was called in to assess the package and deemed it to be safe.
The area of Florence Drive was closed at Chandler Crescent for several hours (approx 5:45pm - 9:30pm) and neighbours were asked to remain in their homes.
The Peterborough Police Service thanks the neighbourhood for their patience & understanding.
