Fail to Remain – Vehicle Sought
The Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit is looking for a vehicle that failed to remain after striking a hyrdo pole.
The collision happened around 8:10am on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, on Water Street in the southbound lanes near Marina Boulevard. The collision caused extensive damage to the hydro pole.
Officers are looking for information on the vehicle or driver (Picture of the vehicle for assistance). It’s believed that there will damage to the dump trailer part of the vehicle and that the passenger side mirror will be missing.

Mischief Incident
The Peterborough Police Service is asking the public to be careful after a concerning find at a local park.
Officers recently received an online report from a resident. The man reported he was walking his dog in the Knights of Columbus Park on Park Street North on Friday, August 11, 2023, when the dog picked up a tennis ball. Further inspection of the ball revealed that there was a sewing needle stuck in it and when bounced the needle would move in and out. The ball was located near the children’s play equipment.
