On the 17th of July 2023, Police received information of a housing unit takeover on Downie Steet in the City of Peterborough. One male was located and taken into custody. During a search after arrest, officers seized:
- 42.9 grams cocaine
- 20 grams of pink fentanyl
- 29.5 grams of marijuana
- 2 cell phones
- $2915 cash
- 31 tablets of Percocet

MVC – Tapley ¼ Line & County Road 21
Peterborough Police are investigating after a fatal collision Friday morning.
At approximately 8:00am on July 14, 2023, officers were called to the single vehicle collision in the area of Tapley ¼ Line and County Road 21. The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 27-year-old City of Kawartha Lakes woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is now open after being closed for several hours while the Traffic Reconstruction Unit conducted an investigation.

Hate/Bias Incident Investigation – Update #3
Members of the Peterborough Police Service Auxiliary Unit will be in the neighbourhood of Parkhill Road West and Crowley Crescent as well as Monaghan Road and Hopkins Avenue canvassing for video this evening.
It’s anticipated the canvass will happen after 6:00pm. It is in relation to the recent incidents of anti-Semitic pamphlets being dropped off in the neighbourhood.
