Homicide Update
The Peterborough Police Service is providing an update on the homicide from Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jacob Jansen of Peterborough. His name is being released with the permission of the family.
The investigation is ongoing and police continue to appeal to the public to come forward with any information.

Homicide Investigation – Update
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating a homicide that happened late Tuesday evening.
Officers received a call for service around 11:30pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from the George Street and Charlotte Street area.
They arrived to find a male, in his late 20’s, suffering from a stab wound. The male was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre where he succumbed to his injury.
