Assault Arrest
A 48-year-old Cavan-Monaghan man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 1:00pm on September 13, 2023, officers were made aware of incident at a residence between a male and a female. Upon arrival at the residence, officers spoke with both parties and were told there was nothing that had happened. Officers left the residence but were called back a short time later by the female who further disclosed that she had been struck in the face. Officers further learned of a previous incident between the pair about a week before.
As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old Cavan-Monaghan man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault – Spousal X2
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court October 3, 2023.
