Traffic Incident
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after an incident Wednesday night.
At approximately 9:30pm on August 2, 2023, officers were called to the intersection of George Street and Perry Street. Upon arrival officers learned that a woman and her two children were waiting at the intersection in their vehicle and witnessed a teenaged girl almost get hit by another vehicle. The woman cried out in surprise, and it sparked an argument with the pedestrian who then sprayed bear mace at the woman’s vehicle striking a young girl in the car. The girl was treated at the scene by Peterborough Paramedics. Officers searched the area for the teenager with negative results.
