Impaired Arrest
A 40-year-old Strathroy man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Friday morning.
At approximately 1:00am on August 4, 2023, officers were called to the area of Meadowview Road and Bramble Road. Upon arrival, officers learned that a vehicle had struck a tree, causing significant damage to the vehicle, and knocking over the tree. It was further learned that the driver had attempted to flee but was stopped by a neighbour. During the investigation, officers noticed signs of impairment with the driver.
As a result, a 40-year-old Strathroy man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court August 29, 2023.
